The hotel is centrally located, with restaurants and shops right at your door, making it convenient for business travelers. Previous guests mentioned the great value for money, with suites that are decorated better than most 5-star places. the rooms are clean, pleasant, and adequate for your needs.
The hotel can get noisy as it is located near a restaurant/bar, which may disrupt your peaceful stay.

location,clean room, Tv, cheap
Two single beds. It would of been nice to have a double bed but for $99 it was more than ok :)

We liked the personell we met, they were sweet people.
No window in the room (in case of fire, what would we do?), and the garden area was below reasonability.

Great location in the heart of town, easy access to restaurants and parking facilities. The room amenities were functional, and the bed provided a good night's rest. The balcony was a plus in the room, offering a nice view of the street and the ideal spot to start the day with breakfast.
The room felt a bit plain and basic, lacking character. Housekeeping services could have been more attentive.

The Eclipse was very conveniently located on Macrossan Street in Port Douglas and it was very clean, quiet, and pleasant and great value. We liked having the balcony to enjoy our breakfasts there.
Occasional noise in the evening from Backpacker pub next door, but that did not continue in the night time and was quiet for sleep.

During our Christmas stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the value and location of this hotel. the rooms were clean and modern, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. the staff were incredibly attentive and provided excellent service. Plus, the hotel's central location made it convenient to explore the nearby shops, restaurants, and attractions.
The difficulty in finding the hotel at first, as the signage was not very prominent. the lack of on-site staff could be an inconvenience for some guests, especially if they have a lot of luggage or need immediate assistance.

Its central location, the value for money which it offered and the friendly staff who not only shared their local knowledge and were happy to help with suggestions for daytrips but also provided a booking service.

Excellent location right on the main street of Port Douglas, easy access to restaurants and shops, no vehicle required
It is a self reception hotel which was not a problem as we knew our way round Port

Conveniently located in the centre of town, good for an overnight stay for a night out in town. Parking on site
Being located on the main street you have to expect a lot of street noise

Great location right in the centre of port douglas and room was fine for three nights. Comfy bed.
No window in the room. Staff were seldom there as well. But would recommend overall.

Great location. Clean, modern and well designed room. Helpfull staff. Go there when in PD. Best value for money.
The sms system to get the room entry code didnt work. Needed to call to get it on phone. First floor without lift.

The things we liked about Eclipse were its location and cost. BBQ facilities were great, too. Perfect air conditioning. Room was very clean.
The bed was a little uncomfortable, as it was 2 single beds bound together. Also, even though we were on the quiet side of the building, the side away from the backpacker hostel, the acoustics of the hall made all the slamming doors a bit loud sometimes. (Most guests would just let their door slam without shutting it considerately.)

Good location, free parking available. Room basic but clean. Bathroom just acceptable but big shower.
No balcony, no space where to dry the towels after the beach. Nice to have an ipad available in the room but internet connection to be paid there...

Convenience position, well presented and manager Amanda was very helpful, allowing us to store our luggage securely after check-out time. Sincere thanks.
No on-site management, a minor inconvenience when we arrived. Phoned the number displayed on entrance but only got answering service. Soon realised Amanda was upstairs working - all good then.
